Starting in August 2026, some Pokémon Card Game products and events in Japan will require a My Number Card (Japan’s official ID) for purchases and registration, in an effort to reduce scalping. This is just crazy to me. So kids can’t even enjoy card games anymore without adults ruining them by scalping cards at crazy prices? I know this isn’t that new of a revelation, but it’s still sad to me.
