Fundamentals of 3D Design, Class Project #3 – Cardboard Sculpture w/Partner Inspired by Ann Weber

This was a group project using cardboard inspired/based on works by Ann Weber. We were instructed to create an abstract cardboard sculpture that paired with our partners and used the negative space in some creative way. My partner and I each made a bird that, when paired together, creates an imperfect heart in the center. My bird is the brown one, slightly white, while hers is the colorful one.

My sculpture was chosen as part of the 2026 Annual Juried Student Art + Design Exhibition at Harford Community College. It is on display from May 6-29, at the Harford Community College Chesapeake Welcome Center Gallery.
