Alien the RPG by Free League Publishing is really good. You should try it out, or check out the Kickstarter for their fully compatible Version #2.
My mother still has yet to learn not to go off on her own in-game, let alone to stay out of the vents. Character #3 of hers died, but the rest of the crew finally killed the remaining two aliens and got rescued by some Colonial Marines a few days later. I look forward to the next time we play.
