A Prison Simulation And Micromanagement Game To Get Lost In.
(289.6 Hours Played)

I picked up Prison Architect with all its DLC, expecting a neat little simulation game, but what I got was an insanely addictive management experience that has completely taken over my free time. What starts as a simple “build a prison” concept quickly spirals into a chaotic, yet deeply rewarding challenge of strategy, problem solving, and, let’s be honest, mild prisoner torment.
At first, you’re just laying down some walls and hiring guards, thinking, How hard could this be? But before you know it, you’re micromanaging inmate schedules, optimizing guard patrols, setting up rehabilitation programs, and designing the perfect prison layout. Only to have it all go up in flames (sometimes literally) when a riot breaks out because you forgot to build enough toilets.
The best part? Every prison you build tells its own story. Maybe you go for the ultra secure, military style lockdown where no one so much as sneezes without permission. Or maybe you build a utopian rehabilitation center, only to realize your “open concept” design has led to mass escape attempts. The possibilities (and disasters) are endless.
And let’s talk about the moment you think, Just one more day, only to glance at the clock and realize the sun is coming up. The game has that special kind of addictiveness where failure only makes you want to improve, tweak, and try again.
If you love management sims, strategy games, or just watching tiny digital people freak out because you cut their meal rations just a little too much, Prison Architect is an absolute must play. Just don’t be surprised when your “quick session” turns into a full blown obsession. Keep in mind their are still a few bugs and glitches present even after the developers final sunset update for the game. So if you don’t like the game as it is now, in it’s current “finished” state, you might want to check out some mods from the community to help alleviate any issues you might have.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a very angry group of maximum security prisoners to calm down…
